Young Advocates for Change is a new exchange programme run by Africa Alliance of YMCAs. We are looking to recruit 3 Norwegian young people who are passionate about advocacy and working in local communities. We offer a life changing experience living and working alongside young Africans.

Young Advocates for Change is a new exchange programme run by Africa Alliance of YMCAs, starting on July 1st 2016. We are looking to recruit 3 Norwegian young people who are passionate about advocacy and working in local communities. You will work in a local YMCA in Zimbabwe, Madagascar or Kenya for 6 months, then do 2 months follow up in Norway. 

 We offer:

The Africa Alliance of YMCAs supports 22 YMCA national movements in Africa and has years of experience with exchange programmes. You will be working with one other exchange participant from either Kenya, Madagascar or Zimbabwe. You will mobilise young people to start their own advocacy initiatives according to the needs of the local communities. The emphasis will be on creative and innovative approaches to advocacy, using the Subject to Citizen (S2C) change model.
